AEO

Answer engine optimisation: answering questions directly on the page, as a definition, list or FAQ, so search engines and assistants can use the answer.

A good answer sits right below the question, is short, contains the key terms and makes sense without the rest of the page. Definitions, lists, comparisons and dated FAQ help. Structured data has to match the visible text. Nobody can guarantee that an answer will be picked up.

AI automation

Connects forms, inbox, CRM and calendar and runs recurring steps automatically by fixed rules. AI handles structured tasks; people decide.

AI models take the steps where language has to be understood or written: sorting enquiries, moving data into the CRM, triggering follow-ups, summarising calls. Approvals and exceptions stay with people. The work usually starts with the tools a business already uses, such as its CRM, inbox and calendar, and every automation is documented and monitored.

AI phone assistant

A voice AI that answers a business's calls, says it is an AI, captures the request and passes it to a person by fixed rules.

Number, telephony and AI provider, hours and routing are set up for each business. The assistant makes no promises on prices, appointments or callback times and accepts no orders. Recording and transcription stay off until data protection and consent are settled. It goes live only once callbacks and the handover to a person work in testing.

ChatGPT Ads

Labelled ads below ChatGPT answers, in Germany since August 2026. According to OpenAI they do not influence the answers.

The ads appear below an answer, are labelled as sponsored and are matched to the context of the conversation. According to OpenAI, advertisers do not receive conversation content. Campaigns are bought through OpenAI's Ads Manager, which opens country by country. MVXIM is not an OpenAI partner and cannot promise placement.

Concept study (MVXIM)

MVXIM's label for work on a fictional brand, made to show capability. It is not client work, and no results are claimed.

Concept studies use a fictional brief, such as a car brand or a hotel, to show how MVXIM thinks and designs: visual language, page structure and motion as they would be made for a real brand. They carry the concept label on every page, including the page title. No results, clients or figures are claimed for them.

Core Web Vitals

Three Google metrics for a page's loading, responsiveness and layout stability: LCP, INP and CLS.

LCP measures when the largest visible element has loaded, INP how quickly a page responds to input, and CLS how much the layout shifts while loading. Google uses them as part of page experience. The most important basis is fast pages on phones, with images and films that load only when they are needed.

GEO

Generative engine optimisation: preparing content so AI answer engines can find, understand and cite it. A mention cannot be guaranteed.

Answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews rely on pages that are reachable, state clear facts and do not contradict each other. The basis is the same as for SEO. It is measured with spot checks in AI answers. Whether and how a brand is mentioned is decided by each system in the end.

Headless CMS

A content system that manages content and delivers it to the website through an API. Design and code stay independent of it.

Text and images are edited in the content system, and the website fetches them through an API. People can change pages without touching code, while design, speed and technology stay free. It pays off where content changes regularly; where content rarely changes, it adds nothing.

Landing page

A page built for one purpose, for example to follow up an ad, leading to one action: an enquiry, a booking or a purchase.

Someone arriving from an ad expects a page that continues the question from the ad, not a generic homepage. A good landing page answers exactly that question, shows proof and ends in one clear next step. Ads and landing pages work best when they are planned together and tested against each other.

Live project (MVXIM)

MVXIM's label for a real, publicly reachable website that MVXIM built. MPUFIX and NextNowa Academy are the founder's own platforms, not client work.

A live project can be checked: the website is public, and every number MVXIM states about it was counted on the site itself, not estimated. MVXIM makes no claims about visitors, enquiries, revenue or rankings, because there is no public, verifiable data for them.

llms.txt

A proposed text file that gives AI systems an overview of a website. It replaces neither HTML nor the sitemap and has no guaranteed effect.

The file sits in the root of a website, for example at /llms.txt, and sums up in plain text what a business offers and where its key pages are. It is a proposal, not a binding standard. MVXIM adds one when it takes little effort, but does not rely on it.

Performance marketing

Advertising aimed at measurable results such as enquiries or purchases, improved continuously from the data, for example on Google and Meta.

It combines channel strategy, targeting, bidding, creative, landing pages and tracking. Without clean conversion data the platforms optimise for the wrong thing, so measurement comes first. Figures such as cost per enquiry can only be judged honestly once real numbers exist. Ads and pages are planned together and tested against each other.

SEO

Search engine optimisation: building a site's technology, structure and content so Google and Bing show it for relevant searches.

It covers clean structure, metadata, structured data, multilingual setup and fast pages, plus content that answers real questions. It is measured with Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Technical fixes often show after weeks; content usually takes months. Nobody can guarantee a particular position in the search results.

Structured data

Machine-readable data following Schema.org, for example about a business, services or FAQ. It must match the visible content.

It usually sits in a page's source as JSON-LD and describes, for example, a business, a service, a breadcrumb trail or common questions. Search engines and AI systems can then recognise relationships more reliably. Details that are not visible on the page do not belong in it, and invented ratings or awards never do.

Common questions

What is the difference between a custom-built website and a website builder?

A website builder assembles pages from a provider's templates. A custom-built website is designed and coded for one brand. It takes more effort up front and leaves more freedom in design, speed and structure. What fits depends on the goal and the scope.

What is the difference between SEO and advertising?

SEO improves a site's technology, structure and content so it appears in unpaid search results. Advertising buys placements, for example on Google, Meta or in ChatGPT, and the ads run as long as there is budget. SEO takes time to work; ads appear as soon as the campaign runs. Many businesses use both.

Does a small business need its own website if it uses social media?

Social media helps you stay visible, but the platform sets the reach and the rules. Your own website belongs to you: it holds your offer, your contact details and your imprint, and search engines and AI answer engines can find it. For most businesses the two work together.

What does “As of” mean on these pages?

The date an answer was last checked. When something changes, we update it.
